I prefer it to crappy incandesant orange glows. I would much rather
have the
place lit by a few 4 foot fluros with nice daylight tubes in them, if only
the fittings wernt so damn ugly.

The big problem is that most CFLs use cheap phosphors and try to emulate
the
crappy low temperature of a 2700k tungstan bulb. Look for some 965 colour
fluro tubes and then you see things how they were supposed to look.
