Incidentally, Servage web hosting people have introduced a 'mapped
drive' concept:
"As addition to common uploading methods such as FTP and HTTP we also
offer the Servage Webdrive. This feature enables you to mount your
hosting account as a drive (e.g. S:) on your local PC."
