The BIOS hack is a software only thing yes?
Is there a *really simple* guide anywhere that describes what can, and
cannot be accomplished with different levels of hackery?

Ian Lowe did a good modding guide, can't remember if it was for a chipped
box or one with the on-board BIOS chip flashed.
Far as I know you can't do anything at all unless you do the BIOS hack or
chip it first.
