Re: Thermostats

Rob,

I was looking at doing something similar, the one I had decided looks the
most
integratable was the Honeywell Smartfit.

This has RS232/RS485 Interface (and comfort do a module to control it).

Seems to be a reasonably simple affair to replace and existing standard
domestic
heating controller as well.

Comes as a 7 day or 24 hour models for S and Y plan heating systems,
complete with boost/advance and holiday modes
and all of these can be loaded/controled via the serial interface, as well
as
downloading new profiles (ie. on/off times and temp setpoints (not too sure
about setpoints however))

Do a google for "honeywell smartfit" any have a look at the
documentation on the
honeywell website.

I had found the kit online for around £100-120.

Andy

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a suitable central heating thermostat (UK) that
I can use in conjunction with HomeVision? I currently have a Smiths
Industries digital one but that doesn't have any means of connection
and after 11 years of faithfull service seems to be on the blink.

Regards,

Rob
