RE: Re: OT Mobile Phone Advice

The Expansys price has gone up 3 time so far, and it's still their second
best seller (hence why they can put the price up I guess!). Good tip re:
extele though, but I guess Expansys will shift a lot more stock, so maybe
they'll get the allocation first? We'll see. I've got stock notification
form all the usual websites, so as soon as they start coming through I'll
shop around. I do still have an open order with Expansys when they listed
the phone at =A3186 back around June/July time, not that it means anything
other than I might be near the top of the list in terms of who ordered
first. As an aside, I'm already ordering 2 6600's for myself and a
colleague, maybe with 3 of us we'll get a slightly better price?

Yup.. I think this phone is going to be what the 7650 should have been...

eXpansys never actually know when the stock comes in until it does... They
did the same with me on the 7650... Been looking at extele.com prices too,
and they seem cheaper than expansys, especially since expansys's price is
not yet confirmed - and pre-release prices normally go up to final prices,
rather than down!

Fingers crossed on the two week thing though... Just after my boifday... So
plenty of money around... Hehehehe

Agreed, that's the one I'm waiting for. Plenty of fake listings for it on
eBay at the moment, but the official release should be within a fortnight
(Expansys are expecting stock by the end of this month). I had the 7250
an=
d
eBay'd it within a month; the build quality was absolute crap, and the
software was equally flaky. At least the 6600 does not have replaceable
covers, so hopefully it'll vibrate, rather than rattle, when it rings. The
problem with phones these days, particularly it seems with Nokia, is that
they're build to a low budget as the majority of purchasers are no longer
subsidised by the networks. I hope the 6600 reverses this trend, otherwise
I'll finally give up on Nokia after 12+ years of using them.
