1. The easiest way I have found to disable the sensor is to initially
progr=
am the sensor to, say A2. When my computer interface (homeseer) detects A2
=
on it checks a "disable" flag. If this flag is set to on
(disabled) then it=
does nothing, if it is set to off (enabled) then it sends B2 (the real dev=
ice) on.

2. They both send out the same "on" code because you haven't
programmed wha=
t their code is. This is A2 for motion and A3 for "light
detected".

3. You can have a light set to A2 and the sensor set to A2 if you don't
wan=
t to do anything fancy between the sensor and the module. If you do want
so=
me trickery then you need to set them differently as point 1 explains.

Subject: [ukha_d] MS13E2 Motion Sensor usage

I'm having problems setting-up some MS13E2 Motion Sensors (from Marmitek),
=
and wonder whether someone can point me in the right
direction:

1. The sensor includes a House and Unit button that lets me set-up its
mode=
of operation. But can this be done with my remote control? For example, I =
might want to disable the sensor without having to do this manually?

2. If I have two sensors, can I have each one activate a different device?
=
It seems that both send out the same "ON" code to the entire
system, and th=
e only way to discriminate is via the X10 PC interface?

3. If I have a light module set to A2, does it matter whether my sensors
ar=
e set to A2 as well... or is this where the PC interface comes in?

Regards,
Ian
