Hi John,

I have been using PCB-Pool for a good few years now and the service is
excellent. If you need to design high density boards with through hole
plating then they are ideal. If your boards are simple and maybe single
sided, home made is good enough, although they now do single sided too. For
4 layer boards, they can't be beaten on price as far as I have found out.

All of my boards generally now have SMD on them, so I go the PCB-Pool
route=
.
Still extremely low cost for a professional through hole plated PCB in 1
off.

As, I think, Justin pointed out, they have a free version of Target
available that outputs PCB Pool format files. You can upgrade if you wish
and get Gerber outputs, but PCB-Pool now offer this for a small fee if you
wish to use the design for future quantity builds.

Regards
Dave...
PS.. I have no association with PCB-Pool , I just like there friendly
excellent service.

Thanks Justin.

I also found this link
http://www.pcb-pool.com/html_uk/uk_service_1.htm

which seems to have a few different applications, so I think
I'll have a rummage about and see which I prefer.

I only really need 2 layer boards at the moment, so Target may
suffice.

Do you guys make your own boards, or use this pc-pool place ?
Prevoiusly I've managed to get good rates due to putting my
boards in through the company I worked for (who did a lot
of business so got big discounts).
Can't do that now though :-

Cheers,
John.
