Pity you gave up on the AVR. Ian B has been having some
good fun with the AVR Mega devices. I just purchased my
own AVR JTAGICE a few weeks back. Got a really good deal
on it so grabbed the chance.

>That would be good ... some snippets of code ......

I'll dig mine out. It was for the CCS C Compiler.

>Who supplies the transciever chips ??

Microchip now sell the MCP2551 so you can get some samples of both them and
the main controller, MCP2510 although there is now a newer device, the
MCP2515, which has more features and is pin compatible.

>The can bus developement stuff is very expensive unfortunetly....

Yep, that is why I built my own. It even works well on vero board. Just
kee=
p
the crystal close and cut the tracks short.

>Have you tried the Can bus i/o chips as yet ???

I have a few samples of them here. Just need to build a suitable programmer
and try them out. I think they may well replace all the existing AT90S2313
devices I have if I can figure them out!!

Yes, that is the one. Plenty of docs on it at www.kvaser.se but I thought
i=
t
was heavy going for simple automation.

>This isnt OT....is it ??? ..

Not as long as we keep mentioning HA in there somewhere? :o)

>PS.....Nice Menu,s on your touch screen.......

Thanks. All done nicely with Borland C++ Builder and Paintshop Pro. The
display driver is only 16 bit so kept it fairly low on the graphics and the
fact that the CPU is only an NS Geode at 233Mhz.

Dave...
