Keyvan,

I have one of these but the 318Mhz version. Range is @ 25 feet I guess,
which is ok for me at the moment, thats through 3ish walls. The antenna
is just next to my PC in my garage, not sure if it's the optimum
position but as I said the range is ok at the moment.

Cheers,

Keith

Subject: [ukha_d] Extended range X10 RF receiver for UK

Hi all

I have been very disappointed in the past by the range of the RF
devices (like the TM12/13 etc.). Range has always been an issue for
motion detectors, key remotes, etc.
Just seen this via the Homeseer forum:

http://www.wgldesigns.com/w800rf32ae.html

They have just started shipping a 433Mhz version for europe/UK.
Has anyone used these? Any thoughts?
I suppose also that one could be placed at the end of a cat5 point
with a serial convertor so that the antenna can be placed more
effectively/discreetly.

Keyvan
