Has anyone managed to solve the problem of Vim and cursor keys funkiness I
describe below.

In edit mode, useing the cursor keys results in the letters A B C & D
being
inserted in the line above where you are typing.

I've read all about :set term=cons25, but that makes no difference.

I have the same problem using aterm & xterm, and a similar one with
Eterm,
that just exits insert mode first, which is a pain.

This only started when I installed 6.2 from source today, so it may be a
compile optio I screwed.

Any ideas?
