I shopped around for one a while ago and ended up going for a Corega
FSW-16L
which is fanless and rackmounts.



Take care with switches with more ports as they seem to mostly be fan
cooled. I originally got the 32 port ver which did have fans although the
docs didn't mention this. The 16 port has been running well for about a
year
or so now. Can't remember cost be I think it was sub £100 ????

I have tried the 3com 12 port off scan.co.uk, its a bargain at £28+vat but
the problem is that it is LOUD, with no less than 3 fans in it.
Any suggestions for something with a minimum of 10 ports, rack mounted,
100meg ports for less than £100? (and quiet!)
