The quasi-receiver is just a modem...much like the Compass modem. The
newer panels can be programmed via IP (if IP enabled panel) or Cell
Network (if cell enabled panel).

Russ, yep the XTL is designed for small blow & go installs, the
difference being the motherboard can be hidden anywhere (separate from
the keypad - so throwing it out the window as with a Lynx will do you
no good) and is totally wireless except for power. I think they're too
expensive right now though or I'd buy one to mess around with.
