xPLMediaNet - Winamp Client

Hi all,

Got the winamp client working last night, so this will be in the test
release.

Couldn't find a good way of handling multiple clients and recognising them
when they re-attach as clients as they could have the same ip and if you
stop/start winamp it immediately uses a new port too...

So have come up with a solution as follows:

Instead of having winamp open 192.168.1.50:8070, you use
192.168.1.50:8070/devicename - where device name is a unique name that
means
the client can always be matched up (rather like using the mac address for
the rio). Also means you know the xpl device name...

Does anyone know what's different about the way windows media player
connects to a shoutcast in comparison to winamp please?

It just sits there saying "connecting" and never connects

Many thanks
Tony
