Have just published an update to v1.2 that should fix the issue (at bottom
of xplrionet page).

Firstly it looks for an id3v2 tag
Then id3v1 tag
If it can't find either, or theyre blank, they get tagged as unknown
Were open to suggestions for a further fall back position if you (or
anyone)
can suggest one.
Alternatively Tag&rename is a good program for editing tags
