I've now borrowed a copy of VS.NET 2003 until I get my own in a couple of
weeks.
So things are a little easier now.

No doubt I'll have more problems as time goes on.
I've now decided to drop the serial classes I was talking about because I
found that the CommBase works very well on it's own. So I'm going to
concentrate more on the xAP-485 stuff.
