Well, thats got the hornets nest buzzing :-)

I'm building what is essentially a connector, so multiple
sub-addresses are the game, and getting them right is important.

Since the spec is "flexible", the approach I think works best for
me
is to strictly enforce the colon, and do the two halves of the address
independently, so sytax like >:> is permissible.

I'm going to do more thinking about whether to accept wildcard
targetted commands.  For BSC it doesn't appear to be an issue as every
cmd body requires a UID.

And you will never hear me mention targets and bodies in the same set
of parenthesies :-)
