Re: Min Touch Screen module

Hi Dave,
Looks very interesting.

I've been playing around with the larger 2.8" units from SK Pang in
the UK and a breadboard PIC24F with Ethernet from a Wiznet board but its
stalled a bit over the summer and isn't at the PCB stage (and may never
be!).

My personal favourite is POE rather than Zigbee as it makes hooking the
device to Ethernet/xAP easier. Been down the RS485 route but wouldn't
again.....

Presumably the thought is to have an xAP to Zigbee mesh bridge under
Windows and use the MeshNetics stack on the Atmel longer term? This would
hide the internal menuing application (I guess) and present one (or more)
devices to xAP.

One issue I did find with these small screens is how to get decent bezels
that aren't cheap plastic (in my case Stainless is needed) have WAF and fit
UK back boxes - http://www.mm-wave.com/honeycottage/xaplcd2.htm
Oh, that's the other issue with RF - metal back box and metal bezel =
(nearly) no RF :-( Clearly in some situations there will be plastic cavity
back boxes which will be better.

Regards,
Lehane
