I agree the push of e-mail is better than the pull of a forum, but some
forums will push e-mail to the owners of certain topics from what I
understand.

My reason for suggesting the forum idea is that my recent experience
could easily be seen by others, forever, which would enable a certain
amount of self help. The Homeseer forums are great for this. 50% of the
issues I have had were described and resolved, of course I still needed
to create new topics for the other 50%...

My little issue with xAP weather was a good case in point...

Okay, that's interesting to hear somebody else's preferences.

I think that's a classic and popular question across all types of
'user groups'. Some folks prefer web forums, others email. I
personally MUCH prefer the YahooGroup rather than dispersing us
blethering amongst ourselves across multiple different locations,
fragmenting the discussions. I like email being pushed to me, rather
than my having to go get the data from forums (many of which I find
terribly inaccessible).
