RE: Replace a TIVO with ?
I agree that its not as good as TiVo in the simplicity of its UI but
its pretty good at "emulating" season passes given that it
doesn't have access a "hand crafted" program guide like TiVo
does. Its nowhere near as simple to operate as TiVo's UI though.
On the flip side, I find the "live" TV guide MUCH better to use
than the TiVo... at least its big enough to actually read!

We got a Topfield 5800 as a replacement for out Tivo.
It may be the 'best' option but even running mystuff I still don't think
it's as good as Tivo was.
The state of Freeview recorders is pretty shocking in my view - we did have
a Humax before the Topfield but it lasted 30 mins before I decided it
wasn't
for keeping.
