Not a chance :-)

I dont have any PC's - just a laptop. I need a standalone box.

Have you considered a computer based PVR? You could put a freesat HD card
and a freeview card into a pc and get that to record the shows? Software
is
free and the cards are relatively cheap.

Adrian.

I've cancelled the Sky HD sub - so in 2 weeks I need to replace.

Plan was to get a Humax Freesat HD PVR - but it will still miss channels
like Sky News and perhaps Dave etc. You can get Sky News etc in
non-freesat mode, but I think this is only viable on a adhoc basis - you
cant record ?

So, I'm thinking FreeSat HD PVR + Freeview non-pvr box (which has HDMI)

Anyone recommend a decent Freeview box with HDMI ? (non-pvr)
