Slightly OT from the initial request but I have just implemented the
same thing in my Idratek HA. It normally runs from a server (central
PC), but if this fails then each unit can run in a simpliar
"Reflex"
mode.

Normally the Idranet system would run a Watchdog from the Multi-
Function Panel, but I don't have one and to be honest they don't appeal
to me aesthetically. But with a lot of guidance from Idratek I have
implemented the same functionallity from a temperature module which has
an built-in timer. Basically the timer counts down from 20 seconds and
once at zero it will send a reset signal to all devices which means
they go into reflex mode. Whilst the PC and Cortex are running a
counter restart is sent every 10 seconds.

So I can run it in normal high level mode but if the central PC fails
or we have a power cut, once power resumes I have a failsafe mode of
functionallity.

Paul
