Obviously there will still be physical OEM and retail licences available
from 3rd party suppliers' stock for a while after those dates!


A recent BBC report quoted Microsoft as saying XP support is continuing
"for
some considerable time". Guesstimate would be at least 2011 on the
basis
that SP3 is planned for 2008, and W2K is still actively supported for
monthly security fix updates.

Well XP stops being supported next year and will mean an extended support
agreement for organisations. I also believe MS are no longer selling OEM
licenses of XP only Vista.
