I don't think that there is a non-computer phone for Skype because of
it's proprietary nature, although you can have a USB connector to
connect a standard (POTS) phone to the PC (I couldn't make this work
with Linux Skype, but was OK with W2K)

The alternative is to use someone like Sipgate that you can connect to a
Telephone Adapter device - I am using a LinkSys PAP2 connected as line 2
on my PBX.Sipgate gives free land line numbers, probably including one
matching your existing dial code. I also use Voipcheap as they have zero
cost calls to many foreign locations, but no free land line number.
Landline numbers for SIP services can be had for a price from third
parties.

I don't have Tivo or Sky, but I see no reason why they shouldn't use a
telephone adaptor - it works just like a standard phone - unless the
bandwidth isn't good enough for their modem signals.
