The BBC is shipping this gadget for their CatchUp TV trial.

And you're right, it is seriously unglamorous.

It seems to work OK though.

I was a bit worried about the Kilroy-Silk Orange Permatan effect that
it gave to flesh tones at first, but this seems to have settled down
now.

[caveat: we have less than a week's experience with this gadget so
far.]
