Mac Mini - FrontRow?

I'm just about to treat us to a nice new TV (likely a 46" Sony
LCD)
and it seems like a good opportunity to add a pc to this - just love
the idea of 1920x1080 on a 46" display :-)
But I don't really need a full on media pc as we use sky and will
upgrade to Sky+ & HD. (Freeview is only just possible here.)
So has anyone got experience of the latest Mac Mini and possibly Front
Row or alternative Mac media packages? Do others go further with HA
integration on a Mac? (That may not be an issue as I can access a lot
of things via a web interface.)
Any other good excuses, sorry ideas, for this route?
