I'm using the build XBMC-CVS_2006-01-29-T3CH on a v1.6 xbox (no idea
if
it makes a difference) and have had no problems at all with xbmc so far
(touch wood).

I don't have any Quicktime stuff but xvid/divx and dvd's work okay. I'm
also playing from a slow samba share without problems.
