I think there was a device that replaced a 3.5HDD and privided a
network
connection like you describe

I'm sure I saw it being used on an early HDD Set top media player, It was
very expensive though

Long shot this one and I'm appealing to the techies out there but I'm
looking for a compact flash card which can be written to wirelessly
without any fuss, i.e. card shows up on a wireless network with an
i.p. address and I just drag and drop files to it. Does one exist?

Its for a project at work using embedded boards that have a compact
flash slot. It becomes pretty tiresome pulling it out of the board,
into a card reader, copying files, out of the card reader, then back
into the board (100's of times a day!).

Cheers,
Jamie.
