I don't know how "permanent" a solution you want or what
your trying to
hang it to but badge tape would do the job. But once its there it would
take a hefty tug to get it off! It won't damage plastics but will quite
happily pull paint/paper of a wall!!
It's the stuff used to hold vehicle trims, number plates etc in place
and sticks bloomin well! Ebay turned up:

As with all adhesives though the bonding surfaces must be clean, dry and
grease free. Heating both surfaces very slightly prior to application
(Hair dryer would be enough) will also assist bonding.
