Thanks everyone - very useful info!

I think I now need to consider a second SATA enclosure to put the O/S
drive(s) in - unless I just go for a 3 drive RAID5 array and use the other
two for a mirrored array.

Is it OK to use the same RAID card to do both? i.e. 2 drive mirror with
smaller O/S drives and 3 or 5 drive RAID5 array for data?
