Nope, just doesn't scan right to me.
There again, it's possible I shouldn't get my "plague" updates
from
Terry Pratchett's "Pyramids" - the plague of the frog [1] still
haunts
me.

[1] it was a big frog, and got stuck in the airconditioning, and kept
everyone awake for nights, or something.
