aerial query please

Can anyone help me, please, with the designation of the
thread/adaptor which attaches a 2.4GHz aerial to a `remote' CCTV
camera? Is there a designation for it? (eg. like BNC, SMA, TNC N-type
etc.) It looks similar to Maplins 'DV72P' aerial.
Also, is it possible to `extend' the aerial so that it (the
aerial) is in line-of-sight with the receiver? (Camera inside garage,
receiver in house)
