X10 CM12 problems

I recently finally got round to getting some X10 bits and bobs, I have
the following running:
3 x AM12 - Appliance Modules controlling fish tank lights
1 x LW10 - Wall Mount Dimmer
1 x CM12 connected to WinXP and Harmony
1 x Infrared > X10 converter
Every now and then the CM12 unit stops responding, harmony can't see it
and it doesn't end up running my commands I have programmed it with.
The X10 devices still respond to the IR converter when I use my pronto.
Has anyone come across this? Any ideas on how to fix it?
