It appears as thought most of his complaints have to do with
non-existent issues, at least if you stay current, and buy Exchange 2003
instead of Exchange 2000...

Offline defrag - Not necessary, except in extreme situations.  And even
still, you can set the temp directory to a different partition... Slap
in an IDE drive, and use that.
IS Repair - not necessary.  And the same applies with respect to temp
directories.

(PS - these become very necessary if you do not know a damn thing about
exchange, and forget to tell your Server Anti-virus not to scan the
exchange directories... Sounds like the case to me, if I had to guess)

Full Restore - The Exchange 2003 Mailbox Recovery Center eliminates this
complaint.

I could go on, but I won't.  But his bias AGAINST Exchange is as evident
as mine FOR it...

Zealots like myself and this guy Al are never going to agree, never mind
let the other one poke fun... ;-)
