Depends on the load they are controlling.

I have one controlling 6 x 60w ceiling spots and 1 centre light = 420W in
total.

These get warm to the touch when switching 420W, and are rated upto 700.
Bear in mind the cases are plastic so they arent likely to get /very/ hot.

I would recommend adequate ventilation so as to allow heat to dissipate

I dont have a problem as theres loads of space in the ceiling voids and
loft. Its just common sense really.
