The general consensus, is that the Activehome software that ships with a
CM12 is useful to test that the CM12 functions, and that is about it's
limit.... it's generally thrown away within the first couple of days!

Most people on here who use PC solutions based around a CM12 use one of
the following (there's probably something I've missed from the list!)
(there's a poll from last February about who uses what here
http://www.automatedhome.co.uk/pollBooth.php3?question_id=1167&answer_id=-1):-

www.homeseer.com (commercial, 30 day demo available)
www.idomus.co.uk (commercial, 30 day demo available)
www.autom8it.com (commercial, unsure whether a demo is available or not,
author is (or was, don't think I've seen him for a while) on the list)
www.xplproject.org.uk (open protocol, written by people on the list)
www.xapautomation.org (open protocol, written by people on the list)
www.misterhouse.com (freeware, requires Perl jiggery pokery to do things
;) )

HTH!
