Fact of life in my business that is, in dealing with appliances.

Kitchen appliances using 240VAC in an environment full of grease, steam,
water and other assorted liquids and generally loads of careless people.

Mix the above and what do you get? ;)

TBH a lot of the RCD's especially are too sensitive but that's down to some
weird EU building regs and the problem is worse in newer properties we
find.
