Yep - and it can be done today - ML interfaces already to Girder which has
the ability to run VB scripts so of course you can use this to fire off a
xAP message via the xAP OCX - and I am guessing the same is true for xPL as
they have an OCX now too .  It's in the script category of awkwardness but
very achievable.

X support should really be added to ML Server directly though - rather than
through an intermediary which increases latency and effects reliability and
features.

I do think that ACE and ML might see themselves as competitors here - one
coming from the audio media side and one from the HA side although a
similar
approach.
