Sorry its a USB module, unfortunately as you say the firmware is not
available to
turn an Atmel USB module into an AP replacement.

You'd be better off with a PCI wireless card like the Netgear MA311GE we
sell:

This card is prism 2.5 and is supported by hostap.

You could stick it in one of the mini-ITX cases which allow a PCI card, and
use an EPIA board.
