RE: LED lighting

Good job Andy, looks great.

I'm doing something similar withy a couple of glass display cabinets at the
moment.
I bought a Luxeon Star 1W Lumiled with collimating optic from Farnell
(Ignore the errors in the catalogue, the lens gives a 10deg. beam angle)
These fantastic LEDs give plenty of light, without the optic a single LED
will light our dressing room !!
I'm considering installing emergency/power cut lighting in key areas with
them.

The Farnell order code for the one I got is 432-5746=20

I'm trying to get pricing for the new Warm White Lumileds which should give
a light closer to that of halogens
see mail below

Dave

After 2 months offline, I finally have my broadband back. People on=20
dialup - I've felt your pain! Anyway, this means you can now see the=20
results of my LED lighting in the kitchen. I'm kicking myself for=20
not being part of the bulk-buy last year (cost =A350odd from Maplin).=20=20
It took a couple of hours to solder the wires on, and about 40=20
minutes to find a suitable PSU ;-)

It's all detailed at http://ha.andylaurence.co.uk/lighting/led.shtml=20
but be warned that the images may be a little slow as it's hosted on=20
my ADSL. I just hope I've figured out the non-intuitive web=20
interface for DNS at my ISP.

Cheers,
Andy
