Hi,

I have an old PC doing nothing (P120), I wish to have it control
lights etc in my house!

I will design my own Sensors etc, but am unsure how to interface it
with the PC.

It has one spare serial port (will use CM12U on this?)

I will transmit data from my sensors using 433Mhz rf module, I can
write software for PIC Micro's so interfacing is reletavely easy

Was going to use 418Mhz and interface too x10 RF transceiver, but 418
getting hard to get now, and I have heard the X10 RF transceivers are
not that good anyway?

It looks as though I will somehow have to use the Parallel port for
inputs?

Any ideas?

Thanks Gary
