Hi Mario to the best of knowledge there is no one offering a residential
product of this nature although commercial applications exist if you
have a VERY large wallet.

But I think it is only a matter of time provided a secure solution can
be found. PC security is a major issue for manufacturers of security
products and more specifically the consumer. Can you imagine the media
hype if someone wrote a virus that could unlock all the homes in a
street or maybe even every street of every town in every....well you get
the idea!

And as for my house being unlocked and locked with the reliability of
X-10, now that really makes me shudder.......
May as well just hang my door keys on a hook in the front garden with a
sign saying "My House Keys". :-).

I'd be looking to control an automated bolt system via the computer
through X10 or RS232 versus just a remote with IR.  Does anyone know
if this exists?
