Did anyone who implemented gigabit networking in their home notice a
significant benefit?

Prices seem to be coming down. eBuyer have a Netgear 5 port 10/100/1000
baseT switch for �95 inc VAT and a Dlink 8 port 10/100/1000 switch for �132
in VAT
