My FreeBird RF wireless controller for the xbox arrived today. Was
rather S*****g myself as the plan to extend the controller cable over
CAT5 failed completely (It just didn't work :-()
But....... The Logic3 Freebird http://tinyurl.com/rskq works just
great.
Xbox is installed in my Node '0'. IR control via Xantech distro using
DVD Controller and xbox gamepad in the living room with NO wires working
just dandy. Freebird supports up to 4 controllers too so multiplayer
sessions in the living room in front of the Plasma are reality! My Node
0 is upstairs and I reckon 10-12 metres from where used and I can find
no problems or delays. (I admit I've not got the fastest of trigger
fingers though!)
So with XBMP, a 120g hard drive full of games and over 1000 emulators to
choose from on MameoX I've got the cold winters nights sorted!!! :-).
Personally I don't really care for the xbox games just give me Nemesis,
Outrun and 1942 and I'm happy!
All in all one happy bunny!
