Just finished installing one of these alarms and I must say I'm impressed !

I bought the following items from TLC Direct (http://wwww.tlc-direct.co.uk)

1 x Infinite Wireless alarm kit (includes Control Panel, 2xPIR's, 1x Door
Contact, 1x Remote Keyfob) I also got a third PIR free as part of an offer
at TLC Direct.
1 x ES MFB - Additional Wireless Keyfob
1 x ES WSM - Wireless Sounder Unit
1 x ES COMMS - Self Monitor PSTN Dialler
1 x ES HA - X10 Home Automation Interface

The ESCOMMS and ESHA units fit directly into the control panel and are a
snip to install. Once I worked out you needed to "Find Modules"
to get them
to work with the alarm, everything went smoothly. The PSTN module does
exact
what it says on the tin. In an alarm situation, it will dial up to three
numbers and report the alarm. It also allows for two way audio so you can
listen in to the premises, although I did find it very hard to hear
anything, as my panel is mounted in a cubbard :D

The Wireless Sounder unit enabled me to connect my existing hard wired
external sounders to the alarm, and once again, 5 minutes to install and
worked first time. The same deal for the PIR's and Door Contacts.. you
simply mount them in the desired position, then register them with the
control panel ! The whole install took no more than an hour.

The Home automation interface gave me a pleasant surprise. Using the
"On By
Zone" feature, I was able to use the wireless PIR's (that are not
directly
compatible with X10) as occupancy sensors. The On By Zone feature allows
you
to define a HA Unit that will be switched on when movement is detected, and
this works if the alarm is armed or not. This extends to all zones, so even
door contacts can send an X10 ON/OFF command. Here's a screenshot of my
Homeseer screen: http://www.serenitymeadow.com/images/sec.jpg

All in all, I'm well impressed. I'm looking forward to added more motion
sensors and fire alarms. If anyone has any questions about the unit, please
feel free to ask.

Cheers

Marc

P.S Just in case I will point out I do not work for ESP or TLC direct.
