The importance of light output depends how its going to be used. If
you're going to view in a darkened room high output is not important;
you may even want to reduce the output. On the other hand, if you want
to view in daylight you want all the lumens you can get, and you still
won't get a very good image.

I'd treat makers specs with a pinch of salt, particularly contrast
ratio and lamp life.
