Re: [OT] HP Printer- Doh!

As the plastic case of the printer is the hardest thing to get on and off I
didn't bother putting it back on before testing the printer - kidding the
proximity switches in the process. Naturally, the fact that the toner drum
was exposed to the light on the way round meant that it collected charge
and toner all the way round. Pop the case back on, load some paper and hey
presto.

Doh, doh and thrice Doh!

Tim,

Not much to suggest, but I did think of two things:

1. Did you replace the toner cartridge too ? If so, you did remove the
pull-out strip from the toner cartridge didn't you ?
2. Mike Huggins (of Let's Automate) also has (had ?) an HP spares business,
he may be able to offer some pointers.

Cheers,

Tim.
