I would have thought that without too much difficulty you=20
would be able to embed a hall effect sensor in the striker=20
housing. Then, when the deadlock has been activated the hall=20
effect switch should detect the presence of the striker bolt.

This might depend on whether you have a brass bolt, or one=20
with a strengthened steel rod in it (ferrous vs non-ferrous)

Just a thought. Probably better than trying to sense the lock=20
position on the door...
