Cool.  I only have my 2mb connection with BY coz I want a decent upstream
speed - I don't need 2mb down - well, not often anyway :)
Since wireless is a totally different technology, there's no need for asym
-
and indeed would probably be harder to implement....

Back in my ISDN days, before broadband was available in my area, NTL did a
wireless trial in Croydon and.....the cutoff was the end of my road -
bastards!

I guess wireless is the only realistic proposition for ppl like you in the
sticks eh m8?

Not surprising really - if everyone has highish speed symmetric connections
at
home, how can ISP's continue to shaft businesses for connectivity?  By
making
it difficult for home users to do all the server type stuff that businesses
normally wat.
Still, there's bound to be a way around it - there usually is.....
