RE: Heeelp !! My PC is dead :-(

Mains outlet okay?
Is the IEC lead okay?
Check the simple things first - before you start dismantling...

I know from experience ;-)

Here's hoping you guys can sort this out,

On Monday I did some work on a PC that normally runs 24/7 (and has the
screen burn to prove it). After I finished I shut it down, packed it into a
box with plenty of bubble wrap etc., drove it 400 miles, moved it into the
garage and left it for 3 days.

Today, I go to set it up again and . . . nada, nothing, not even the fan in
the PSU wants to pay ball :-( No fans spin, no hard drive spin, no lights,
nothing.

I've reseated all of the cards: AGP, 2x PCI & 1x ISA, the memory and
all
cables but still no joy.

PC is an Advent, model 3034A running Win 98SE.

Any clues ? Dead PSU ?

Many thanks,

Tim H.
