I suppose even if the conduit is made of PVC, it'd be the conduit in
contact
with Jabsqueeze that would degrade and not the cable safely tucked up
inside
it.

Mmm.. makes me wonder how I know that the conduit isn't made of PVC
as well ! I suppose wrapping the actual cable in insulation tape might
be the best option.. but a pain to do :)
